Idealists (Part 3) - The Romantic
The lithe fingers of
a young man
wrap around the
alabaster body
of a quill
pen
Delicately brushing
black locks
from big
beautiful eyes
long of lash
he stares longingly
into the gaze of
a dark
young woman
imagining
she and he
strolling
the length of
a black sand
beach
Xavier pens a poem
4 beats in length
per line
stating
"this beauty yours
interrupts me
to pause and love"
Ink smears on
parchment
and blood
from
Xavier's cheek
where the
woman's husband
stabbed him
after crumpling
the poem
and calling
him a
faggot
